DISCO Project – Loading zone monitoring Pilot

One of the most significant challenges in urban logistics is the emissions generated by deliveries, as well as the limited urban space characteristic of dense city environments. The goal of the EU Horizon-funded DISCO project is to develop and test new solutions for the flexible use of underutilized urban spaces to address these challenges in urban logistics.

The DISCO project explores new ways to gather insights of the loading zones and their usage in Helsinki’s inner city. Currently, there is little to no data available on the use of loading zones in the area.

As part of the DISCO project, pilots will be conducted to test various methods for collecting real-time data on the use of loading zones in Helsinki’s inner city.

Through this invitation for proposals, we are seeking solutions which can monitor the usage of loading zones to be piloted in Helsinki.
